A huge thank you to Newmarket International and Lonza Biologics for participating in the United Way Day of Caring on September 9, 2009 at Dover Children's Home. With several volunteers on board, many hands made light work. The attic was thoroughly cleaned and organized and new shelving units were installed by the Lonza Biologics team. The group from Newmarket International painted the front porch railings and lots of interior trim. Beautiful new lattice work was also installed by Newmarket International employees on parts of the side porch. The weather cooperated and the day was incredibly productive. Thank you again for the great community service provided to our Home.

Second Annual Day of Caring
For the second year in a row, the Dover Children’s Home partnered with Sun Life Financial for a very productive and positive Day of Caring. On May 11th, approximately ten Sun Life employees donated their time and talents for several hours to restore and rejuvenate the Dover Children’s Home flower beds and walkway areas to provide a more appealing and welcoming entrance to a building that has provided a safe haven to thousands of children over the past century. Other projects included re-staining shutters and painting the annex building, picnic table benches, interior trim, and a lounge. In addition, Sun Life Financial provided a delicious lunch for all the workers. DCH Executive Director Donna Coraluzzo commented, “The Dover Children’s Home is very grateful to the Sun Life crew for all their hard work and positive energy. With so many people lending a hand, we completed projects in one day that would typically take us weeks to finish.”
Sun Life Financial, located locally on Rye Street in Portsmouth, offers a diverse range of protection and wealth accumulation products and services worldwide.
